I Didn’t Start Like This…

In my early twenties I was grinding to climb a corporate ladder. The real “rat race.” There was a part of me that always knew it wasn’t for me.

But a high salary, competition and a clear vision had a way of sucking me in.

Until one day I was sitting at a Subway in Omaha, NE and watched Warren Buffet hop out of a black Lincoln. I just sat in my truck thinking “he sure as heck didn’t get here by being someone’s sheep.”

I started making moves that night.

I had a list a mile long. All the businesses that I wanted to start. Trying to find the perfect one.

Back before crypto, before Hormozi, before Grant Cardone. Back then I was brainstorming physical products I could invent.

The Accidental Flip

To buy myself time, I decided to pick up a rental property and hire a general contractor to do the work.

Worst. Decision. Ever.

That contractor did $50,000 worth of work. Most of it wrong.

And just like that, I found my new business.

At the time, it was against my will.
